Eaton's Industrial Controls Division is seeking a Jr Test Engineer to support the development and maintenance of testing equipment for feeder lines and final assembly lines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Support the safe operation of testing equipment for all production lines, including MDA's, subassembly, and final tests for electronic and mechanical products.

• Maintain, calibrate, and optimize existing test equipment, identifying safety or performance gaps and implementing corrective actions.

• Collaborate with test engineering and maintenance teams to solve problems related to electronic products and machinery controls.

• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives, focusing on quality and cost reduction through changes and improvements to equipment and test equipment.

• Conduct, support, and/or participate in training programs, including technical and continuous improvement-related topics, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

• Support or modify preventive maintenance and calibration routines for production and test fixtures and additional components.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through analyzing and eliminating repetitive equipment failures, searching for more efficient parts, and redesigning product catalogs.

• Support PROLaunch projects and Engineering changes by programming and constructing new testing equipment/devices and assisting in writing new test procedures.

• Contribute to the development and support of systems, including Eaton Quality System and Lean system.

• Meet any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special requirements of the company.

• Participate in continuous improvements programs and committees.

• Comply with Eaton Business System (EBS) principles, including Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Assessment, and Learning, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

• Familiarize yourself with and comply with company policies, including Global Ethics, Values, and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security, and Health (MESH).

• Report any unsafe acts or conditions.

**Requirements:**

• High school completion or recent bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 1 year's quality and manufacturing processes and systems experience in a large company.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Knowledge and experience with electromechanical and electronic industrial products, particularly in the last few years.

• Experience in design and PLC programming, as well as computer systems.

• In-circuit tests, such as MDA Checksum.

• Experience in programming high-level languages (Visual Basic, LabVIEW, C++, etc.).

• Experience with database systems (Access, SQL, earliest version).

• Experience with PC control instruments (GPIB, DIO).

• Integrated circuits programming (PICs, MCU's, i.e., Silab).

• Knowledge of Electronic, Electrical Control, Metrology, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic control.

• Electronic schematics interpretation.
