Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commodity Buyer to lead our procurement efforts, driving the acquisition of essential commodities for our operations. This role will be based in Mexico City, Mexico, and will involve working closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement procurement strategies to optimize commodity sourcing and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of commodities.
- Collaborate with our engineering teams to identify and procure necessary materials and equipment.
- Monitor market trends and make informed decisions to minimize risks and maximize returns.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in commodity procurement or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
