We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer SME III to join our team at Jabil Circuit. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems that ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production region(s).
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze performance metrics from various sites across the region to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to address low performance issues and prevent customer complaints.
- Conduct regional audits to ensure that basic IE systems, tools, and procedures are properly used by local IE engineering teams.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to align and establish regional priorities.
- Lead large-scale projects across the region, utilizing your expertise in industrial engineering tools and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IE systems and technologies to support manufacturing processes.
- Communicate key Industrial Engineering metrics to the regional team and prepare complex quotes for new proposed manufacturing projects.
- Support Business Unit Directors and Site Management on new and actual processes reliability and profitability.
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team and other functional engineering teams as needed.
- Strong understanding and application of industrial engineering tools, including work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.
- Knowledge of Jabil's global strategies and direction.
- Strong financial and analytical ability, including P&L, planning, delivery, data science techniques.
- Proven record of accomplishment in successful change management, implementing and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of Health and Safety standards & requirements.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred.
- Lean Masters Certificate or Six Sigma Silver required.
- At least 15 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in industrial Engineering or related field.
