**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Conduct credit card audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between financial statements and internal records.
- Conduct periodic audits to verify data integrity and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis and trend forecasting, to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial projections.
- Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Work with Property Managers to ensure understanding of property accounting.
- Utilize industry-specific software, such as Google Sheets, Excel, Appfolio, and QuickBooks, to manage property accounting and financial operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to software functionality or data discrepancies.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in property management accounting.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably Appfolio and QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial data management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
