About the Role

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in expanding our reach in mission-critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage with customers during the presales process to gather requirements and explain our technology.
  2. Develop and elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients.
  3. Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux.
  4. Convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and sometimes participate in the development or refining of generic solutions to unlock market potential.
  5. Act as a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  2. Extensive Linux experience, with a preference for Debian or Ubuntu.
  3. Solid embedded Linux experience, including Yocto, Buildroot, or RTOS.
  4. Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
  5. Professional written and spoken English, in addition to the local language.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  7. Result-oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
  8. A personal drive to meet commitments.
  9. An humble learner and quick study.
  10. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences.
Additional Skills
  1. Experience with customer engagements is a plus, but not a requirement.
