Job Summary

The Project Manager MEP is responsible for analyzing electromechanical and special installations to ensure they meet technical specifications and Mexican legislation norms. This role involves elaborating and controlling reports, monitoring contractor craftsmen qualifications, and recommending improvement actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze construction drawings, technical specifications, and scope of works to ensure compliance with Mexican standards and client requirements.
  • Develop construction schedules and cost estimates to inform project reviews and value engineering.
  • Contribute to risk analysis and update project risks matrix.
  • Implement safety standards and best practices.
  • Install process, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect fabrication of piping and equipment, and installation.
  • Plan and execute checkout, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Manage work planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Define and review quality plans.
  • Plan and manage work for self and others.
  • Facilitate and participate in design reviews.
  • Review and evaluate contractor bids.
  • Communicate with client operations on day-to-day site activities.
  • Prepare and present reports.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager coordinating MEP design and construction on Industrial / Manufacturing / Data Center projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Automation Systems.
  • Commissioning experience is required.
  • PMI certification is a plus.
  • Experience in LEED projects is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish to lead project team meetings and issue written communications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM.
