IBM i Systems Administration Expert

The IBM i Systems Administrator will be responsible for the management, administration, and maintenance of all power systems and external storage within set constraints and react appropriately to situations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the installation, design, and administration of IBM i Power System and External Storage.
The IBM i Systems Administrator will also be required to utilize industry standard tools to report performance statistics to software engineers and the business and pinpoint effects of new design elements for application optimization.
- Provide metrics on system performance that matter to clients.
- Administer and maintain IBM i Power systems, including DR systems and external storage.
- Research and deploy new products (internally & externally developed).
- Manage replication to data warehouse systems using Mimix.
- Monitor enterprise-level Power systems to maintain performance levels that meet business needs.
- Manage i OS jobs and system messages.
- Control job environment through adjustment of system resources and subsystems.
