We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Buyer to join our Purchasing team at Safran companies. As an Energy Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of energy and fluids for our sites.
Key Responsibilities- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, pricing, and production mix for energy and fluids.
- Purchasing Strategy: Collaborate with the Global Commodity Manager to define and implement purchasing strategies that meet Safran's energy needs.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on area trends that could impact site spending and decarbonization projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor new regulations and subsidy programs that may affect Safran sites.
- RFI/RFQ Management: Coordinate the management of RFI/RFQ for new energy and fluid needs.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts for energy and fluid supply.
- Contract Management: Manage energy and fluid supply contracts.
- Expense Monitoring: Monitor and report expenses at Safran sites.
- Data Reliability: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of purchasing data in ERPs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Proven purchasing experience, preferably in the energy sector.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish, with French being an asset.
- ERP Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
This role requires minimal travel, primarily local during business hours, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel expected.
