Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. as a Maintenance-Rooms-Preventative. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
  • Inspect and repair grout and caulking, replace light fixtures, and ensure that all necessary hardware and appliances are present and in working order.
  • Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in accordance with property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
  • Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces, including tubs, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
Requirements
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
