Job Summary:

The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall management of the Mexican distribution business unit, overseeing eight locations across the country. This role will direct all business unit functions, including sales, manufacturing, finance, planning & logistics, quality & technology, HR, and engineering. The Executive Director will provide leadership and direction to the management team and all employees to achieve business objectives, ensure customer satisfaction, and create a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement necessary actions for three key strategic initiatives for Mexico/Latin America, including the Aerospace/Warehousing, Brazil/Argentia growth strategy, and Energy/Power Gen Development.
  • Develop and implement a regional strategic timeline, closely monitoring key actions and participating in the implementation of key actions required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, visiting them regularly to understand their requirements.
  • Develop close relationships with agents in Brazil and provide oversight on agent activities.
  • Provide pricing to outside sales teams for specific grades, manage late orders, and develop resolutions to expedite the movement of orders.
  • Continuously review inventory stocking programs with customers and sales specialists, adjusting replenishment orders as required.
  • Analyze monthly sales and profit performance, preparing a monthly operating summary for distribution to various personnel.
  • Develop an annual operating plan with key managers or the operating committee.
  • Maintain and monitor cash management banking systems, acting as the lead administrator on the e-banking platform.
  • Weekly monitor nickel exposure, develop hedge quantities, and initiate hedge requests to Reading.
  • Work with the finance manager to ensure timely month-end closing, accurate financial statements, proper tax filings, and annual statutory audits.
  • Work with outside legal firms to ensure proper filings for Carpenter Aceros Fortuna's subsidiaries.
