About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Solution Architect to join our IT North America team at Nestlé SA. As a key member of our Center of Enablement, you will drive and orchestrate modern end-to-end architecture strategies for large IT initiatives, providing architecture governance and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish guidance for product delivery teams, embedding composable design practices and leveraging AI to unlock value and accelerate delivery flows.
  • Manage and oversee architecture design practices for the enterprise, identifying packaged business capabilities, defining reference architecture, and working closely with solution, data, platform, and security architects.
  • Provide inputs to the roadmap by utilizing knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience.
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of technology product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom configurations.
  • Define and ensure adherence to guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to secure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
  • Deliver modular E2E solution design across multiple products or product groups, leveraging cloud native technology, microservices, and APIs to enable business agility.
  • Enable the architecture and integration community through coaching, capability building, and the promotion of self-service delivery methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science, systems analysis, or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a solution architect, designing and managing complex IT solutions with cross-functional integration experience, APIs, and agile methodologies.
  • 8+ years of experience in at least three IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.
  • Experience in multiple, diverse technologies and environments, including hybrid enterprise landscapes, multi-cloud, and on-premise solutions (Proven experience with Azure, Mulesoft).
  • Advanced understanding of cloud native technology, microservices, event-driven architecture, and the importance of API-led design principles.
  • Expertise in applying architecture patterns that cover application, data, events, and API-led design concepts for scenarios such as business-to-business (B2B), eRetail, business-to-consumer (B2C), direct-to-consumer (DTC), social commerce, machines, and things.
  • Good understanding of AI/ML frameworks and their application to enterprise projects.

Bonus Points

  • Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.
  • Experience working with the EA Bizzdesign tool and additional cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or SAP Cloud platform.
  • Experience communicating effectively at different organization levels in English, navigating emerging technology topics (Gen AI, Future of work, etc).
  • Understanding of AI/ML ethics with practical experience applying these in projects.
