About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Optimization Specialist to join our team at Abb Schweiz Ag. As a key member of our Production organization, you will play a critical role in optimizing our assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours and improve overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
- Approve process designs and perform final tests to ensure project success.
- Provide support to Production during internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
- Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in similar positions.
- Strong knowledge of machines and tooling.
- Proficient in mechanical reading and design.
- Knowledge of project valuation.
- Previous experience in leadership.
- Availability to travel.
- Advanced English Level.
