Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Kohler Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering support to production areas, identifying and improving areas of opportunity in production processes or products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem solving, cost reduction, and meeting delivery schedules.
  • Oversee production processes and suggest changes in working methods or operation sequences to ensure adequate operation and improve efficiency.
  • Support the maintenance department in maintaining and troubleshooting the manufacturing process, tools, and dies.
  • Develop and maintain control over labor standards in complex operations.
  • Assist in providing associates training as required and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Monitor and track various plant metrics.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Kohler Operating System (KOS).
  • Promote continuous improvements in safety, quality, and cost in plant operations.
  • Develop quality projects through Lean Manufacturing tools to achieve cost reduction and improve results.
  • Support team work to ensure follow-up on established methods after project implementation.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
Requirements
  • Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in a manufacturing operation employing Lean systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software applications.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
