About the Role

As a Civil Designer at Ausenco, you will be responsible for preparing 3D civil/earthwork models and 2D civil drawings for industrial and mining projects. Your specific tasks will include site plan, grading and bulk earthwork, drainage, roads, parking lots, sewage collection, water distribution, and stormwater management. You will also assist with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs, interface with other disciplines to ensure civil drawings incorporate other discipline requirements, and liaise with engineers for direction, specifications, and feedback. Additionally, you will maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards, and coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a diploma in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college, experience in civil design and drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and design. Experience in construction/contract administration is an asset, as is demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams. Structural and architectural design experience will also be an asset.
