About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designer & Learning Technology Specialist to join our team at Sensata Technologies, Inc. This role will be responsible for creating engaging and effective online learning modules, live web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Define objectives for courses and/or curricula, with a focus on self-paced eLearning modules. Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs.
  • Content Creation: State instructional end goals and create content that matches them. Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts. Quickly synthesize and write course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc.
  • Project Management: Define project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Keep track of project tasks and status using online project management software. Maintain project documentation and course folders, including updating existing content as new information and/or needs present.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with customers, subject matter experts, and course sponsors to collect feedback and integrate it into the next course draft. Use PowerPoint to draft screen layouts, graphics, and interactions appropriate to the content. Work with various technology resources to generate voiceovers, video production, and graphics to produce draft and final versions of each course.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments. Keep up to date on learning tools, trends, and ideas and make recommendations on improvements to the broader team.
Requirements
  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers.
