Tool Setter

Job Overview

Faurecia is seeking a skilled Tool Setter & Metrologist to join our team in San José Iturbide, Gto. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coordinating tool build and modification, making mechanical adjustments, and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

Main Responsibilities

• Tooling Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to coordinate tool build and modification, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Mechanical Adjustments: Perform mechanical adjustments and part fitting of components into tools and fixtures to meet Gages or CMM layouts.
• Quality Control: Validate tooling with CMM software and assemble parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot pneumatic and electric issues on tooling, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production.
• Technical Expertise: Read prints (1st angle projection) and use 3D models to understand tooling assembly, and act as the technical correspondent for tool and equipment suppliers.
• Leadership: Demonstrate effective leadership qualities and work collaboratively with the team to achieve production goals.

Requirements

• GD&T Knowledge: Possess knowledge in GD&T concepts and datum system.
• CAD Software: Familiarity with CAD software and ability to read prints.
• Leadership Qualities: Effective leadership qualities and team player.
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes.
• Language: Basic English language skills, with a willingness to learn.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in mechanical tooling assembly, electrical, and pneumatics, or toolmaker experience.
