Key Responsibilities

  • Execute multiple internal audit engagements independently and as part of a team, working closely with clients and onshore stakeholders.
  • Lead and train teams on carrying out internal audit engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and onshore teams, maintaining excellent rapport and proactive communication.
  • Independently execute internal audit engagements and SOX compliance work, designing manuals and IT controls as required.
  • Identify process gaps and provide recommendations for improvement, ensuring consistency and quality in SOX compliance work.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management's interventions and actions, communicating audit scope, protocol, status, issues, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Meet quality guidelines within established turnaround times for assigned requests, demonstrating a solution-based approach to problem-solving.
  • Anticipate and identify engagement-related risks, escalating issues as appropriate on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • Exceptional command of spoken and written English.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and meticulous consulting skills.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, problem-solving, and timely issue escalation.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite, data analysis, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX, and COSO framework.
  • Strong academic history (degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or similar, license/certification in SOX, CIA, CPA, CMA, CA, etc.).
  • Strong multi-project management skills.
  • Ability to think differently and innovate.

Qualifications

  • CA or MBA (Master's in Business Administration).
  • CIA certification is preferred.
  • Around 3-4 years of experience in a Big 4 or professional firm or industry, with experience in risks and controls, SOX, and internal controls.
