About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team at Teradata Group. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work on data warehouse integration and reporting projects, focusing on gathering and analyzing requirements, mapping to source system attributes, and understanding business process changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on building prototypes of analytics solutions (data and/or reports) and collaborate with engineers, data modelers, and architects to implement optimal solutions.
  • Support testing and validation of data tables/views, operational reporting, scorecards, and dashboards to support internal business customers.
  • Document test results with detailed use cases, personas, test scenarios, and issues identified.
  • Analyze and interpret data to solve ad-hoc business questions from internal customers.
  • Troubleshoot issues and independently solve data-related problems.
  • Prepare documentation on all projects to support eventual productization of processes and services of the analytics product.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of data system design for data mining, modeling, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong communication skills to work with internal teams and internal customers.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and produce executable technical roadmaps.
  • Foundational knowledge in analytics, modeling, and data applications concepts for large big data environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Statistics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in business analysis or Agile.
  • Basic knowledge of data pipelines, data mining, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, quick learning, team player, energetic personality, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of using an issue management system (Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.).
