Mechanical Supervisor

Parker Wellbore is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of rig equipment, hydraulic equipment, and diesel equipment, as well as mentoring and training Mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze, replace, or repair rig equipment, hydraulic equipment, and diesel equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Consistently maintain a log of all work performed to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Attend safety meetings and stay up-to-date on equipment changes to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Monitor diesel motors and SCR/VFD systems to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
- Keep the motor room clean and well-maintained to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain and repair centrifugal pumps, cranes, and other equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Monitor bilges, voids, and red fox units to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations, including wellbore influxes, hydrogen sulfide detection, and major mechanical or structural failure.
- Provide assistance with rescue operations for injuries or overcome personnel.
- Rig-up and rig-down all mechanical aspects of the drilling rig and maintain/repair all mechanical equipment.
- Train and mentor Mechanics on processes, HSE, and safety procedures, as well as Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all mechanical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
- Ensure an adequate amount of tools and spare parts are available and submit requisitions to the Toolpusher/Purchasing Manager for approval.
- Abide by Company policies and procedures at all times.
- A High School diploma is required.
- At least 5 years of specific work experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems and skilled at working with hand and power tools and operating work vehicles such as forklifts, trenchers, cranes, etc.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers, and vendors.
