About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Systems Manager to join our Quality ALS&S/Automotive Lighting team at Marelli. As a Quality Systems Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality System Development: Design, establish, and manage a quality management system (QMS) in compliance with industry standards (such as ISO 9001) and regulations specific to the sector.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and implemented effectively across the organization.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation. Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality. Conduct internal audits and manage external audits.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Team Management and Training: Lead the Quality Assurance team. Develop the team through training and identify training needs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Work with suppliers to ensure that the inputs and materials meet the required quality standards. Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers.
  • Customer Focus: Liaise with customers' auditors ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications. Address and analyze customer complaints and feedback for quality improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying tools and methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and others to improve process capabilities, reduce overall costs, and enhance quality.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventative action.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in quality, industrial engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or certifications like Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Six Sigma Black Belt could be advantageous.
  • Experience: Significant experience in quality management or a similar role. Experience in the specific industry relevant to the hiring company is often required.
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards: In-depth knowledge of quality system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, or similar, depending on the industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and statistical analysis skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with suppliers and customers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
