Job Summary

The Junior Program Manager will be part of a world-class team at Universal Electronics Inc. responsible for existing products and transfer activities between multiple sites and functions. This role involves leading multi-functional teams to meet UEI and customer expectations, supporting UEM and UEI goals, developing project budgets, and ensuring project costs are under targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project transfer activities with UEI and UEM teams, ensuring all product requirements, procedures, and documents are understood and followed.
  • Manage product development from project start to first shipment, leveraging the support of other departments based on their specific expertise.
  • Communicate project status in a timely manner, produce accurate reports throughout the product life cycle.
  • Provide product information to the UEM team using established channels to secure a smooth project transfer and fast ramp-up.
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple sites and projects within the department.
  • Develop tooling ramp plans with ME for unapproved components (plastics, keypads) to enable PC to create a production ramp plan.
  • Support P&L plans and projects to meet UEM targets through quality improvements, cycle time reductions, positive relationships with customers, and consistent processes.
  • Lead sourcing cost reduction projects for new or existing materials, make suggestions on new processes to improve manufacturing costs.
  • Assist PMs and Top Management on customer meetings.
  • Identify and articulate best practices within an industry, make and support the implementation of new manufacturing capabilities.
  • Work with Production Engineering to lay out the optimal line configuration to ensure that all test needs are met.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, anticipating, meeting, and exceeding expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority.
  • Responsible for recognizing project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and managing the work within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
  • Accountable for overall project success, including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechatronic, Industrial, Electronic, Engineering, or related).
  • Plus 3 years of experience as a Program Manager.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Fluent English.
