Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at 899 FLEXTRONICS PLASTICS SA DE CV in Guadalajara North Site. This role will report to the Director, Mechanical Engineering and will be responsible for defining, implementing, and evaluating proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product
- Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
- Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
- Participate in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
- Prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production
- Hold up and oversee new process equipment production
- Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
- Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Review processing methods
- Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
- Innovate Metal Mechanical projects by applying reengineering to maintain and improve the competitiveness of the organization
- Validate the processes used in the manufacture of mechanical parts in accordance with the applicable requirements, norms, and standards to guarantee their quality
- Supervise the resources inherent to their field of application, considering safety, hygiene, and environmental aspects, to increase the productivity of the company
- Experience for punch, bend, insertion, robotic tapping operations, including tool crib management, EDMs and MRO non-BoM materials
- Experience in metal-mechanic's industry (Desirable)
Requirements:
- Intermediate English
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements
- Evaluate and select various engineered materials
- Implement statistical process research on new and existing products
- Implement safety, productivity and give in improvements
- Improve manufacturing techniques and through put
- Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities and gives in
