About the Role

The Renewable Energy Database Analyst L1 plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of SCADA operations. This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining SCADA databases, ensuring accurate data flow between systems, building stored procedures, and assisting in the analysis and troubleshooting of SCADA systems.

This position requires a basic understanding of SCADA systems, data collection processes, time series historical data, and database management. The Renewable Energy Database Analyst will work closely with senior SCADA engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and system operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and updating of SCADA databases, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Data validation and verification to maintain the integrity of SCADA data.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data discrepancies in SCADA databases.
  • Monitoring SCADA system performance and data flow to ensure real-time monitoring and reporting.
  • Responding to system alerts and issues, escalating problems as necessary to senior engineers.
  • Assisting in the collection, analysis, and reporting of SCADA data to support operational decision-making.
  • Building, maintaining, and optimizing stored procedures for exporting local SCADA historian data.
  • Generating routine and ad-hoc reports based on SCADA data for various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in information technology, Engineering, or 1-3 years of related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and databases.
  • Familiarity with data collection, validation, and analysis processes.
  • Experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or similar.
  • Ability to conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SQL server configurations and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
