Cost Analyst Job Description

At Bosch Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Cost Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or master's in finance, accounting, business management, or industrial engineering and 1-3 years of working experience.

We offer an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on the location and the individual's qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of actual vs target cost comparisons, focusing on material and value-added costs.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements for month-end closing and present them to plant management, identifying root causes of deviations and proposing corrective measures.
  • Develop realistic quarterly cost forecasts based on current data and projections for upcoming months, providing a clear picture of the end-of-year financial results.
  • Promote annual financial planning by translating manufacturing and service KPIs into costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and resource allocation.
  • Monitor headcount (direct and indirect) and track budget performance to ensure financial targets are met, conducting risk analysis at the operational level.
  • Analyze external influences such as volume demand, exchange rates, and economic effects on business operations.
  • Cultivate long-term planning through cost calculations and new acquisition project quotations.
  • Leverage expertise to develop standardized and automated controlling processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency while reducing effort time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, business management, or industrial engineering.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluent English language proficiency.
  • Results-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and assertive communication.
  • Able to present complex information to management and non-finance audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Power BI), SAP (CO & FI modules), and SmartView (Essbase).
