We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team at Marriott Cancun An All-Inclusive Resort.

About the Role:

As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery. You will identify stained or damaged items and determine their status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.

You will inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts. Additionally, you will set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in loads.

Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using folding machines.

Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

Requirements:

  • Able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Preferred Qualifications:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. No related work experience necessary.

Salary Information:
