As an integral member of the Technical Function team, the Maintenance Manager is a seasoned leader responsible for overseeing the Maintenance department.

The Maintenance Manager's primary responsibilities include managing all installation, repair, and maintenance operations of our facilities. This role ensures the optimal functioning of our machinery and equipment while monitoring safety standards. Key duties encompass maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance protocols. This includes comprehensive preventative maintenance and managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic/automation systems.

This position reports directly to the Technical Function Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance tasks to address breakdowns and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Develop and implement effective repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor cost-effectiveness of maintenance activities to optimize resource allocation and meet reliability and safety standards.
  • Research and recommend new maintenance tools and equipment to enhance team capabilities.
  • Evaluate and manage contractor relationships to ensure quality service while minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with managers across the organization to coordinate maintenance activities with operational needs.
  • Prepare work orders and track progress against estimates.
  • Lead, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff to ensure timely and safe completion of repair and service tasks.
  • Adhere to the Integrated Management System (I.M.S.), including ISO standards.

Core Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of machinery and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in planning and executing maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with fire suppression systems and air conditioning.
  • Understanding of lean and six sigma methodologies.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks at various heights and lift up to 100 pounds in a moderate work environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental compliance programs.

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • 15+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing context.
  • Flexibility in working hours to support continuous operations.
  • Proficiency in English.

This role may require occasional travel to vendor sites and other company locations to engage with project teams and external partners.
