Job Summary

The Planning Supervisor - Strategic Operations will lead and administer the planning staff within the workcell, supporting the development and implementation of planning strategies and systems. This role will optimize costs under the supervision of the Planning Manager and drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Recruit, interview, and hire planning personnel.
    • Monitor team member turnover and identify key factors that can be improved.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance.
    • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives for individual and team performance.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team members.
    • Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
  • Technical Management
    • Develop and implement planning strategies and systems to optimize costs and drive business growth.
    • Ensure workcell execution of planning strategies.
    • Support customer business needs using standard processes and customized solutions.
    • Ensure 100% on-time delivery and maintain accurate revenue forecasting.
    • Develop and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) and load into Jabil's ERP system.
    • Reconcile MPS to customer PO coverage weekly to ensure Jabil is not exposed over and above customer PO coverage or other authorized customer demand.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and operations management, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.
