As a key member of the Nissan team, the Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. This includes analyzing demand, forecasting production needs, and coordinating with suppliers to avoid manual processes and ensure smooth communication through EDI.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans to manage the entire supply chain, including warehouse, transportation, and inventory control.
• Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Monitor the logistics process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to purchasing, warehouse, inventory, and logistics.
• Review engineering changes and take necessary actions to anticipate errors or delays in manufacturing.
• Follow up on shortages by logistics or supplier, leading meetings to align departments on critical situations and provide information on quantities and estimated time arrivals.
• Communicate critical materials and escalate any points that may affect operations.
• Ensure accomplishment of internal KPIs, including on-time delivery, inventory level, and supplier improvements.
Requirements
• 3-4 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP systems.
Working Conditions
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to drive business results and improve processes.
