The Material Requirements Planner is essential in overseeing the Supply Chain for production materials, collaborating with suppliers and intercompany for North American operations. Key responsibilities include tracking requirements through SAP transactions and developing schedules for suppliers based on customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Regularly dispatch orders to designated suppliers, ensuring MAHLE facilities maintain optimal inventory levels. Oversee supplier shipments until materials are received at MAHLE locations. Proactively address unexpected challenges (such as fluctuations in customer demand, transportation delays, or inventory discrepancies) by negotiating with suppliers/customers, coordinating material expedites, and following up on delivery plans. Timely escalate critical issues that fall outside of influence. Manage the establishment and upkeep of master data within the MRP System (SAP). Maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure adherence to MAHLE guidelines. Foster strong communication within the MAHLE organization (Purchasing, Plant logistics, External warehouses, Carriers, etc.) to ensure process excellence. Generate and distribute reports or situational analyses as required. Lead or collaborate in root cause analyses and monitor countermeasures to prevent recurrence. Participate in special projects focused on continuous improvement or specific assignments as needed. Manage and resolve any issues impacting raw material availability at MAHLE facilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in exact Sciences, Economics, Engineering, Logistics Management, or Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain Management. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management. At least 2 years of experience as a raw material planner. Proficient in both English and Spanish (written and spoken). Familiarity with SAP systems. Advanced skills in MS Excel. Understanding of the automotive industry landscape. Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership. Focused on problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a true team player. Proactive and self-directed. Strong decision-making and prioritization abilities.
