As a Field Sourcing Specialist for Supply Chain Management, you will play a critical role in driving procurement excellence and strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management, and business acumen to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier development.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead sourcing activities for all purchases by assigned zone or business unit, including competitive bidding, proposal analysis, negotiation of price and commercial terms, vendor management, and asset sales.
- Manage commercial risk for all purchases by assigned zone or business unit, identifying and addressing business risks during the bidding and sourcing process, verifying contractor pre-screening, and ensuring hold harmless and indemnification documentation is in place.
- Proactively manage sourcing activity for all major capital, maintenance, and plant turnarounds, attending budget planning meetings, participating in TAR planning meetings, and leading TAR procurement planning process and pre-TAR supplier site visits.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and documentation on sourcing activities, documenting and reporting cost savings, providing supporting documentation on sourcing activities, and maintaining current listings of contractors utilized in assigned BU or zone.
- Support Americas Procurement Center and LATAM Procurement initiatives and programs, championing use of managed suppliers, reporting events of non-compliance, identifying opportunities for creation of frame agreements, and participating in relevant supplier relationship management meetings.
- Provide other related value creation services to internal customers, managing and resolving quality or performance issues with non-managed suppliers, providing on-site sourcing support during major plant turnarounds, facilitating the sale of surplus assets, and providing support and best purchasing practices to field buyers within assigned BU or zone.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management, and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
