Té Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams play a critical role in driving LEANPD initiatives, focusing on excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, and implementing new manufacturing technologies to enhance process and tolerance control. They act as a liaison between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient interfaces. This team supports product development in optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, creating sample tooling, products, and prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain verification of supplier compliance and capability, and initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time, adhering to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, and/or 1-3 years of basic knowledge in cable assembly, high-speed cables, and harnesses industry. Proficiency in 3D CAD - Creo and/or Solidworks, proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-directed, highly motivated, Spanish and English written and verbal communication skills, and working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic, and automatic assembly processes. Willingness to travel as required (15% max) to support NPI launch timelines and accommodate other time zones for global collaboration.

Basic understanding of End-to-end cable assembly manufacturing process development (from raw material to components process and to final assemblies), overall manufacturing process equipment. Identify tooling and equipment for cable assembly general process, equipment capitalization, process definition to manufacturability and cost feasibility, participation in launch product assurance, process documentation control of PO's PR's generation, support to provide necessary support to the Sourcing team, and capture and share lessons learned and store release documents in the TE project management system.
