About the Role
The Procurement Manager Mexico (PMM) plays a critical role in driving business growth and profitability for Swiss Re - Schweizerische Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft by leading Procurement initiatives across assigned categories of spend within the assigned countries. The PMM develops and executes a local strategy aligned with the global Category Strategies, ensuring value creation, quality improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation in the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead Procurement projects, specification definition, and demand management across assigned categories of spend.
- Manage specific supplier performance and innovation activities, ensuring compliance with Global Procurement standards.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business partners, driving collaborative efforts to achieve business objectives.
- Consolidate, share, and collaborate vendor, market, category, and internal business data to inform Regional Strategy development.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Targeted Standards, Buying Guidance, and Vendor Management Guidance.
- Implement and communicate the final Regional Strategy aligned with global Category Strategies and Annual Plans to relevant business partners.
- Execute and apply vendor management aligned to the Vendor Relationship Management Framework and Global Procurement Services and Process Landscape.
- Develop and maintain the Procurement Network, ensuring effective collaboration across Global Procurement.
- Take ownership of career, performance, and development, ensuring the necessary resources, information, and tools are in place for project execution.
- Provide input into the development of appropriate Playbook.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A deep understanding of Procurement principles, practices, and technologies is essential, as is the ability to analyze complex data and develop informed recommendations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
