Senior HVAC Project Coordinator

The Senior HVAC Project Coordinator is responsible for operating with minimal oversight to navigate and steer intricate chiller projects by overseeing designated orders throughout the phases of order fulfillment, engineering, production, and commissioning. Collaborating within a team framework, the Coordinator will formulate and document the strategy, ensure compliance, and manage identified risk factors associated with each agreement. The assigned customer orders will exhibit a significant level of complexity or unique circumstances compared to standard offerings. Projects must be executed in accordance with stringent customer and financial stipulations. This entails securing resources and synchronizing the efforts of core, extended, and support team members, suppliers, contractors, or consultants to ensure project delivery aligns with the established plan.

Additionally, the Senior Coordinator may be tasked with spearheading change management initiatives for the organization. In this capacity, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and other departments within Johnson Controls to analyze and implement new business workflows, ultimately leading to a more efficient ordering and manufacturing process, both internally and externally to JCI.

Key Responsibilities:

· Establish project timelines, scope, objectives, resource needs, and deliverables that align with business and customer objectives.

Assess and determine the necessity for additional team members or resources, communicating any additional requirements to leadership when project objectives are at risk. Organize, schedule, and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones utilizing appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths. Recognize and address project scope, financial, and scheduling impacts related to manufacturing challenges. Cultivate, develop, and enhance business relationships with customers and suppliers crucial to the success of JCI's specially engineered products.

Continuous Improvement:

Conduct project post-evaluations and compile a lessons learned report to pinpoint successful and unsuccessful project elements. Formulate best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Leadership:

Guide, mentor, inspire, and provide leadership to project team members, encouraging them to take positive action and accountability. Identify and engage necessary resources based on project status or phase. Coordinate and lead a cross-functional project resource team to ensure clear and accurate communication essential for delivering the project on schedule and within budget. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Communication:

Develop project plans, financial documentation, resource allocations, and associated communications. Provide project status updates upon request and facilitate proactive communication whenever project objectives or customer commitments are at risk.

Qualifications:

BS/BA required, preferably in Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of experience in BAS or HVAC-related project or program management, supply chain planning, or engineering is required. Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
