We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling and Equipment Procurement Specialist to join our team at Faurecia. As a key member of our global procurement organization, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring tools, fixtures, gages, equipment, and packaging for our in-house production of Faurecia Clean Mobility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and follow up the program T&E sourcing list with stakeholders to ensure all tools and equipment are included until delivery, including purchasing process.
- Prepare the sourcing strategy according to production processes, program requirements, production footprint, and regional supplier panel or global if applies.
- Create and manage requests for quotations to suppliers properly elaborated by the Tooling Coordinator/Engineer.
- Analyze and review supplier quotations according to specifications together with Engineering, specialist, and program teams.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to reach optimal timing, cost, quality, and technical requirements of programs.
- Lead the supplier nomination process according to Faurecia Core Procedures.
- Manage the creation of purchase orders in ERP systems.
- Create LON's or nomination documents according to purchasing rules.
- Follow and track the performance of suppliers after award.
- Follow and negotiate modifications and engineering changes during development and serial phases, ensuring respect of quality, budget, and delivery deadlines.
- Ensure that program phase reviews are supported within the framework of the Program Management System (PMS).
- Masters degree in engineering with professional experience/specialization in international purchasing or commercial education with additional technical background.
- Minimum 3 years experience as Buyer in an industrial environment for the automotive branch.
- Results-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomous in a matrix organization.
- International mindset, overseas experience is a plus.
- Negotiating skills and assertiveness.
- Minimum bi-lingual (English required).
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools and SAP R/3 MM.
- Ability to work under organization and following the process.
