Key Responsibilities
- Break down construction plans into electrical sub-packages
- Prepare accurate cost estimates
- Sourcing design data from databases
- Modifying drawings to ensure compliance with city standards
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements
- Collate material prices and supplier lists
- Analyze construction plans for subsequent system documentation
- Review narratives, plans, and specifications for alignment with pricing and scope of work
- Break down plans into electrical sub-packages
- Calculate the cost of electrical construction
- Analyze projects for value engineering options
- Develop conceptual estimates
- Participate in the development and reviewing of design alternatives
- Manage unit and development cost estimations
- Execute system design calculations
- Periodically review and update materials and cost databases
- Update pricing based on customer selections
- Request material and equipment quotes
- Develop and manage electrical pricing bid strategy
- Explain electrical pricing and costs to clients and engineers
