Job Overview

At Intuitive, we're seeking a skilled Production Planner to lead our Planning activities for Instrument or Systems Manufacturing lines. This role is responsible for ensuring timely order fulfillment and managing inventory levels throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage assigned NPI/Sustaining projects, evaluating current processes and recommending continuous improvement.
  2. Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their skill sets in NPI/Sustaining planning.
  3. Lead efforts to create and/or update work instructions and Departmental Operating Procedures.
  4. Support department or organizational projects, gaining project team consensus and tracking scope, timelines, and variances.
  5. Engage Manufacturing teams in the continuous improvement process to ensure assigned projects are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
  6. Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with production plan milestones.
  7. Perform capacity analysis to support what-if scenarios, forecast changes, and plan for production growth.
  8. Maintain department metrics, analyzing trends and results.
  9. Manage Engineering Change Order affectivity and execute ECO implementation requirements.
  10. Support production activities to ensure maximum line up-time.
  11. Determine and manage potential line shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, and supplier delivery information.
  12. Schedule sales order shipments based on material availability and capacity.
  13. Develop communication relationships with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Customer Service to manage supply and demand.
