Job Title: SAP MM Consultant

The SAP MM Consultant provides expert-level guidance on SAP requirements and design, specifically in Supply Chain (Planning and Global Available to Promise). As a business analyst of the Supply Chain module, the consultant ensures business requirements are gathered and mapped all required processes in the ERP system (SAP). The consultant provides consultancy in the respective module for best practice processes and initiates necessary business process reengineering to have effective and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process lead role for SAP Supply Chain module related to all planning processes and related master data.
  • Proactively supports the business processes with issue identification and resolution, and process optimization.
  • Proactively analyzes the evolving SAP capabilities to meet the business requirements and works with key users to implement the process in the organization.
  • Identifies cross-functional topics and ensures the processes are aligned across modules with the support of Sub-Project leader.
  • Detects and escalates necessary process decisions in the project regular meeting.
  • Coordinates all training activities according to training concept and plan.
  • Coordinates all testing activities and contributes to test plan creation.
  • Coordinates data clean-up/migration activities with IT process consultant to support key users and team members.
  • Supports the key user community with user mentoring, process documentation, and end-user training.
  • Works with the key users to maintain process documentation and training tools.
  • Acts as contact window for IT process consultant to clarify open points and provide final decisions to IT process consultant (Second-Level Support).
  • Leads and participates in cross-functional teams performing a variety of functions.
  • Independently analyzes and solves problems of the highest complexity.
  • Provides guidance to various departments and/or associates engaged in a variety of company initiatives.
  • Serves as a consultant to other departments on problems requiring theoretical and practical information exchange.
  • Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Coordinates the analysis and resolution of difficult and complex problems and special assignments.
  • Plans, maintains, and evaluates work to be performed by self and others.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in IT/Business or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in business process consultancy worked in one or more SAP implementation projects.
  • Experience in SAP material management module with familiarity of other SAP modules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of business process practices/requirements.
Skills:
  • Strong business process consultancy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of organization (Key users, Managers, and Clients).
Abilities:
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to solve problems that may require modifying and adapting standard techniques.
  • Minimum travel required.
