**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage Bill of Material costs for programs and develop cost-saving methods to promote business unit productivity and supplier competitiveness.
  • Prepare and support commodity teams for contract and sourcing negotiations.
  • Analyze the North American supply base to recommend suppliers for the approved supplier list and nominate suppliers for the Strategic Supplier List.
  • Perform market research and monitor changes/trends for purposes of benchmarking and cost controlling.
  • Develop part family strategies in concert with commodity strategies.
  • Manage the supply base, including internal and intra-company initiatives, to ensure cost, quality, and delivery excellence.
  • Investigate optimal suppliers for materials and track costs and statuses of negotiations.
  • Explore methods/materials for total cost management and cost structure analysis.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in a professional purchasing capacity, including technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, or purchasing management.
  • Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation, including quality, capacity, cost, and supplier bidding process.
