Job Title: Tool Designer/ Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tool Designer/ Design Engineer to join our team at Buscojobs México. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and equipment to meet the needs of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual and detail design, drawing revisions, and engineering change notice creation
  • Develop and revise hardware standard repair procedures
  • Perform engineering liaison activities during hardware fabrication and procurement
  • Design and develop tools and equipment using 3D CAD software (PRO/E CREO 3) and create 2D production type drawings
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and functional departments
  • Optimize component and product designs for performance, cost, standardization, and manufacturability
  • Provide support to manufacturing and service technicians with troubleshooting current production and component issues
  • Review testing of experimental machines and identify necessary changes to meet product requirements
  • Assist other departments in preparation of manuals and sales literature on assigned projects

Requirements and Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineer with conceptual and detail design skills, knowledge of mechanical drawing standards, and experience with detail, assembly, and installation type 2D drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • English language proficiency (70-80% written and spoken)
