Citi seeks a Strategic Technology Architect to lead our technology teams in delivering innovative solutions.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of client core business functions and be able to drive technological objectives. This role requires the ability to support end-user consultation, utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology, and effectively communicate risks to business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting end-user consultation to identify system function specifications and incorporate them into overall system design and delivery.
  • Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology to achieve technological objectives.
  • Independent work style with little or no guidance from senior developers, making decisions that significantly impact business goals.
  • Effectively communicating risks to business owners for informed decisions.
  • Providing guidance on architecturally significant efforts during preplanning, ensuring principles and best practices are followed.
  • Publishing design review extensions and documented guidance aligned to sprint plans and timelines.
  • Participating in design review boards to focus on design process, search for generic patterns, and share best practices.
  • Publishing design patterns across lines of business and domain commonalities.
  • Driving design reviews for Next Gen Architecture (NGA) and Plan of Record (POR) projects.
  • Participating in micro services and NGA code reviews.
  • Mentoring and coaching SDEs and their teams.
  • Having a comprehensive understanding of the business domain, systems, and products, including accountabilities, boundaries, limitations, and scale factors.
  • Providing a long-term perspective for business and technology choices, using technical judgment to vet architecture.
  • Directing teams on how to develop and deliver systems that are efficient with resource usage.
  • Responsible for broader design decisions and development of long-term strategies that significantly influence the development process and standards.
  • Accountable for Design Reviews of Agile and POR projects, as well as Code Reviews of NGA projects.
  • Providing architectural guidance to SDEs based on best practices and in alignment with CTO guidelines and platform.
  • Driving clarity and working with complete independence to deliver expected results.
  • Providing architectural guidance, conducting design reviews and code reviews based on assigned projects.
  • Accountable for the overall strategy and driving teams to deliver expected results.
  • Driving mindful discussion with business and technical stakeholders to lead to timely decisions.
  • Participating in discussions to drive smart trade-off decisions that balance efforts, delivery timelines, features, and technical constraints.
  • Identifying and removing blockers and finding the path forward in challenging situations.

Qualifications:

  • Acquiring relevant technology and financial industry skills, including AWS PWS.
  • Understanding all aspects of NGA technology, including innovative approaches and new opportunities.
  • Demonstrating knowledge on automating code quality and code performance.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
