Job Summary

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving die casting operations within our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will include leading/managing personnel, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and implementing safety measures to achieve efficient and effective production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and manage the die casting process from initial design through production, ensuring that casting processes meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
  2. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement projects, collaborating with toolmakers and designers to optimize tooling for efficiency and quality.
  3. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring that all designs meet budgetary requirements and project dates are met.
  4. Develop and implement die books, select appropriate metal alloys for die casting based on product requirements, and optimize casting parameters to improve productivity and reduce defects.
  5. Closely monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in die casting operations, including process design, tooling development, and quality management.
  3. Strong knowledge of metal alloys, casting principles, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for die and mold design.
  5. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process issues effectively.
  7. Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  3. Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
  4. Fluency in English language.
