Job Overview

A Customer Engineer will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. This role involves helping prospective and existing customers and partners in understanding the Google Cloud, developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve the business issue, engaging in proofs of concepts, and troubleshooting any technical questions and roadblocks.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or in a customer-facing role, including working as a member of a professional services or Systems Engineering team.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in one programming language and in one or more technical areas (e.g., networking, security, databases, AI/ML, IoT, etc).
  • Experience with cloud architecture and one or more cloud providers.
  • Understanding of common systems management concepts such as image management, patching, automated deployment, etc.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
