Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at Continental's new greenfield facility in Mexico. As a key member of our Operations Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our new plant and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Leadership Team with analysis, reporting, and decision-making to drive improvement areas.
  • Enable benchmarks to measure improvements in identified areas and manage and coordinate all Controlling activities of the plant.
  • Participate in and/or steer global or local controlling related and cross-functional projects.
  • Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development, and coaching to support Plant Management.
  • Support Plant Management in internal and external audits and prepare, review, and manage the plant budget and forecast (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.).
  • Monitor and analyze planned/expected outcomes versus monthly operating results and prepare standard production cost setting.
  • Ensure compliance with CAG policies and procedures and support Operations controlling to reach central targets.
  • Provide relevant data to Management for decision-making: cost development, viability analysis, financial effects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure completion of Month-End Closing/FC process and execute plant-specific month-end closing processes.
  • Responsible for fixed asset analysis and fixed asset inventory count and analyze financial reporting of manufacturing-related costs.
  • Identify fixed cost drivers and saving potentials, drive implementation and follow-up, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Responsible for physical inventory/cycle count oversight and obsolescence review and ensure supervision of plant key performance data.
  • Analyze data quality for continuous development of existing systems and align with Operations Controlling team on development measures.
  • Analyze use cases of new systems/technologies/solutions to implement for reporting purposes and support implementation of standardized processes.
  • Ensure detailed project tracking of spendings and monitor and review approval/spending reporting on investments.
  • Prepare evaluation of PCA's in the plant and monitor controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support implementation of Sector/BA processes and corporate compliance policies within Operations Controlling in the plant.
  • Support local audits and ensure local implementation of central controlling standards.
  • Provide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding controlling processes to Operations Controlling.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, Bachelor, or Master in Controlling, Finance, Economics, or Accounting and/or Business Administration preferably with a focus in Controlling/Accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years of Controlling working experience.
  • Cross-functional experience e.g., in production, supply chain, quality, or CBS preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with good communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, analytical thinking with strong ability to work under pressure in an international environment.
  • Understanding and applying project management knowledge (experience as project member/leader).
  • Has successfully managed a project team and/or demonstrated ability to lead.
  • 2 or more years in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
  • Experience working in international environments.
  • Advanced English.
