Job Title: Tax Manager

DiDi Global Inc. is a leading mobility technology platform that offers a wide range of app-based services across various markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of the company's federal tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Develop and implement a strategic tax plan for all necessary federal and state taxes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Direct tax team members in preparing components of the federal tax return and other tax documents, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS audits related to income tax, preparing responses and developing schedules as required.
  • Monitor tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes in tax legislation.
  • Provide efficient support through various internal audits and special projects in tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Public Accountant with more than 5 years of experience in a position in the tax area and at least 2 years of experience in a management position, preferably having some specialty in the tax area and having worked in a big four and multinational company.
  • Extensive tax knowledge of companies in different platform and Fintech business models.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations, with experience in managing local, state, and federal reporting requirements in Mexico and LatAm.
  • Solid experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements, with strong ability to use accounting and project management best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
