At Vertiv, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Supply Chain Optimization Lead to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Mexicali, Mexico.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for leading supplier on-time delivery performance improvement efforts, local sourcing, and cost reduction initiatives in the Vertiv Americas region. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in sourcing or procurement.

The successful candidate will promote a lean culture and mindset of continuous improvement, working closely with suppliers, Category Management, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Logistics functions to improve supplier on-time delivery performance and resiliency.

This position is an integral part of the Procurement function and will align with both regional and global Procurement strategies and standards to drive success at Vertiv.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and drive supplier performance improvement programs to enhance on-time delivery, cost, quality, and risk reduction for assigned commodities.
  • Plan and lead regular supplier business and performance reviews in coordination with Category Managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead local Sourcing activities for the Vertiv Mexicali plant, anticipating and leading change while envisioning what could be, challenging the status quo, and driving transformation.
  • Work closely with Category Management and local Purchasing to localize critical parts, improving lead time, cost, quality, and agility.
  • Expand site cost reduction pipelines and lead execution of cost reduction projects.
  • Drive supplier compliance programs and hold suppliers accountable for timely improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Operations, Master Data Management, Engineering, and Quality, to improve internal processes related to supplier management, evaluation, developing OTD capabilities, managing transfer projects among suppliers, and supporting insourcing/outsourcing flexibility programs.
  • Build and grow supplier relationships, leading supply chain performance improvements.
  • Localize suppliers where possible to enhance lead time, cost, and agility.
  • Lead moderately complex sourcing events.
  • Help identify process improvements and lead initiatives for change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing or Procurement.
  • ISM or APICS certification (preferred).
  • Certification/trained in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Certified, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong business acumen.
  • Must possess appropriate documentation for travel in the United States.
  • Ability to work within a matrix management environment.
  • Strong English speaking and comprehension communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills.
  • Project Management Skills - Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

Estimated annual salary: $105,000.
