Job Summary

As a key member of the Scotiabank Mexico senior management team, the Vice President, Human Resources will play a critical role in driving the bank's overall business strategy and ensuring that human resources strategies and programs align with the company's goals, values, and philosophies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term human resources strategies, plans, policies, and programs to support Scotiabank Mexico's overall business objectives.
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Act as a strategic partner and advisor to senior management, contributing to the development of short- and long-term strategies and determining the major HR implications of those strategies.
  • Define and develop the Mexican HR strategy and corresponding tactical execution plans to ensure alignment with the values and HR philosophies and achievement of the bank's overall goals.
  • Identify people's capabilities required for current and future success in Scotiabank, taking actions to attract, retain, and grow the talent required through leadership resource planning, performance measurement, developmental priorities, and career opportunities.
