Job Summary
Valeo, a leading global automotive supplier, is seeking a highly skilled Material Planning/Production Control Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and components to meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize raw material and component levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning, to ensure accurate forecasting and demand planning.
- Validate and send weekly forecasts to suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor and report daily inventory levels, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, adapting communication methods and frequency to meet their needs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Identify and address blocking points in the supply chain, implementing quick actions to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
- Support the implementation of supply chain optimization initiatives, such as pull flow, Kanban, EDI, and milk run.
- Collaborate with the External Flow Analyst to define inbound transportation plans and optimize logistics protocols.
- Ensure accurate inventory counting and propose actions to maintain inventory accuracy in cooperation with the ERP and inventory control analyst.
- Alert sales teams in the event of a crisis, defining priorities with customers and internally, and escalating as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and address complex supply chain issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, including ERP systems.
