Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of network health and capability assessments, ensuring alignment with future business needs and growth. This position requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless networking, as well as experience in application performance management, service delivery, and strategic planning.

Your Impact
  • Develop and maintain a three-year plan for the Network Optimization Team
  • Provide network optimization and capability needs for strategic business and budget planning
  • Develop heat-maps and optimization plans for data center networks, campus networks, and all WAN, LAN, and WLAN connectivity
  • Monitor and analyze statistical data to develop improvement plans for network and application performance
  • Provide an effective network capacity planning framework in partnership with Capacity Management
  • Partner with Application teams to drive standards for optimal network performance
  • Provide tier 3 operational support for critical business issues that require deep network performance analysis
  • Produce architecture and engineering specifications and design documents
  • Lead the Engineering direction and design issues as well as influence peers and cross-functional partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related qualification
  • In-depth experience and knowledge of Networking technologies
  • Minimum 8 years of working in a Computer Network / Telecommunications role
  • Strong management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural, virtual team across geographical regions
  • Ability to coordinate and direct activities across multiple teams
  • Commercial and business experience is an advantage
  • Service and Operations Management experience
  • Excellence in execution through proper prioritization of projects and initiatives
  • Excellent customer focus and engagement skills
  • Ability to develop solutions within a complex operational environment
  • Strong project management skills and experience of coordinating multiple, simultaneous complex tasks
