Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of our Android application, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.
- Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to understand problems, come up with creative solutions, and help with tracking and delivering within the release plan.
- Implement Android-specific design patterns and collaborate with Engineering and QA to resolve bugs.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient Android applications using native Android development.
- Work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our Android applications.
- At least 3 years of native Android development experience.
- 6+ years total experience.
- Strong experience with Jetpack library components.
- Extremely comfortable with understanding and implementing internet applications with REST services at the backend.
- Superior knowledge of Android concepts like fragments, location services, Google Cloud Messaging API, UI transitions, Image processing, and multi-threaded communications.
- Familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins), application monitoring (Crashlytics and ), mocking tools (Appium and Apiary), build tool development, and enhancements.
- Experience with Cucumber testing framework desired.
- B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to quickly grasp high-level concepts and communicate them to others.
- Experience working on fast-moving development teams and being candid about the status of their work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
