Senior Manager – IT Project Management

Description:

At MX003 Marsh And Mclennan Servicios S.A. De Cv, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager – IT Project Management to lead our technology projects. Located in the Mexico City office, you will be onsite 3 days a week.

What can you expect?

We are looking for a Senior Manager – IT Project Management who can efficiently manage a portfolio of technology projects with teams spanning multiple time zones.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Compile and maintain the RIAD log.
Compile and maintain the Project Plan, which may consist of multiple workstreams, such as application development, migration, and document generation.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be flexible and willing to adapt to change.
Establish and enforce project management policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, including the SDLC and Agile Frameworks.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
Monitor resource utilization and recommend adjustments as necessary.
Identify and assess project risks and issues.
Develop and implement mitigation plans.
Escalate critical issues to senior management.

We will count on you to:

Program and project management experience and extensive expertise in managing projects using agile methodology and tools.
Demonstrate engagement and ownership of project(s) and drive delivery.
Create and maintain all documents that support the PMO methodology, such as detailed risk plans and project plans, including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc., keeping plans updated through the project lifecycle.
Collate and track program status information and project artifacts at various stages of a project's lifecycle, including finances and resources.
Ensure methodology compliance, auditing, and tracking of ongoing projects, using agreed tools at regular intervals to ensure projects are on course and follow the approved methodology.
Analyze project progress and financial data and provide value-added reports on a weekly/monthly basis to key stakeholders. Meet with Portfolio managers/stakeholders and review data.
Provide appropriate reporting and information in a format that enables timely decision making and issue resolution by the Steering Group and Sponsors, and in turn to a higher governance board.
Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools, such as Planview, to manage resource plans and financials.
Identify and understand project dependencies and work with program managers and leads to ensure work schedules, resources, and milestones are aligned.
Recommend corrective actions on projects, if required.
Work closely with Program and Portfolio managers to review finances.
Work with Senior IT Management to agree on yearly timelines.
Support Program Managers in creating Budget submissions.
Review and collate Budget submissions, provide quality reports.

5+ years of project management experience.
Excellent client-facing skills.
A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software or technology environment.
The ability to foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines.
Exposure to different delivery methodologies.
